DescriptionThis holiday complex situated near the village of Super-Besse, lies at an altitude of 1350 meters, in the landscape of the Auvergne volcanoes. The complex consists of 69 apartments distributed among two 4-story buildings (with elevator). Facilities include a reception area with tourist information desk, a bar, barbecue area, reading area, TV room, gym, game room with table football and table tennis tables, a playground, laundry and parking lot. The gym is ideal for group sports such as handball, volleyball, basketball, badminton and soccer. About 600 meters away you will find a heated, indoor municipal swimming pool (open in summer). The pool has a slide, sunbathing area and solarium. The pool is free for guests of the resort. In addition, you can book a linen set, bathroom set, the Comfort Plus Package and/or final cleaning. You can also request a free baby set (baby bed and bath). For children there are a variety of child / youth clubs depending on the age (ranging from 3 to 17 years). Regular tours are organized in the vicinity and there are afternoon activities such as sporting events, local markets, etc. as well as evening entertainment including shows, dances, etc. The nearest ski area is just 500 meters away. This is suitable for Alpine skiing and cross-country skiing. You can even rent ski equipment at a special rate. You can get a ski pass at the reception desk (if you plan to buy your ski pass at the reception desk, please bring a photograph with you). Free sheets are included in the rental price during winter (December - March). 700 meters away you can find shops, restaurants, a discotheque, swimming pool and skating rink. There is a supermarket 8 km away. Pets are not allowed.

Local areaThe environment of Super-Besse is typical of the Les Volcans National Park, which is famous for the extinct volcanoes of Mont Dore and Puy Sancy. In this area you can find a wide range of activities. For example, 600 meters away there is a lake (with a beach and sunbathing area) where you can sail and windsurf. There is also an inline skating rink and an off-road inline skating track! Another particular sport here is the biathlon, but you'll also find opportunities for tennis and hiking. From Super-Besse there is a remote cabin lift which brings you to an altitude of 1800 meters, from where you have a magnificent view of the surroundings. You'll also find medieval villages, Romanesque churches, fountains and mills in the area. In short, this is a region with beautiful nature and plenty of possibilities for relaxation and culture. The complex is situated 56 km from Clermont-Ferrand which, in winter, has plenty of opportunities for skiers and cross-country skiers. There is a ski-lift for Alpine skiing just 500 meters from the accommodation, with returns to the Grand Sancy ski area at an altitude of between 1350 and 1885 meters. This ski area has a total length of 85 km, 285 days of snow, 42 ski lifts, night skiing, a free park for snowboarders and "Snow-kiting". The ski area has a total length of 120 km and begins just 200 meters from the village. This area is the main cross-country ski area in France and is unique because of the variation of nature: forests, mountains, volcanoes and frozen lakes. For children from 3 months of age there is a creche and for children from 4 years of age there is a snow garden located at the beginning of the track (You are advised to make reservations). You will also find in the vicinity a super slide with tires. The medieval town of Besse-en-Chandesse with the medieval castle of Murol and of course the volcano are also well worth a visit. In February there is even a winter jazz music festival here.
