Local areaThis holiday park is located in the midst of Alsace vineyards, 70 km from Strasbourg, and offers views of the Vosges mountains. It is an ideal base for exploring this wonderful region. The city of Strasbourg is known for its cathedral and French Quarter, both definitely worth a visit. Of course you'll find interesting museums here as well, for example in Colmar, Mulhouse, Schirmeck and Gerardmer. You can relax at a thermal spa in Baden-Baden. The reception desk can provide you with information on car and hiking routes as well as tips for sightseeing. Sporting activities in the area include fishing, canoeing, kayaking, bowling and even paragliding. Local culinary specialties like Steige liqueur and jam from Climont are certainly worth trying, but the famous "Flamenkuche" should definitely not be missed. Winter athletes will enjoy the Alpine ski slopes with 11 ski lifts, including a slope for beginners. The slopes are located at an altitude of 900 to 1100 meters. Cross-country skiers will find trails of 100 km, including beautiful paths through the woods. There is a ski bus from the holiday park to the nearest ski resort (13 km; in case there are sufficient participants). This bus is not free. This area is also famous for its Christmas markets held just before Christmas. The most famous are the "Christkindelsmarik" of Strasbourg and the Christmas market in the German city of Freibourg (with beautiful wooden stalls, decorations, mulled wine, chocolate and much more). 60 km away lies Gerardmer, where you can find larger ski slopes.
