Local areaIn the area you can go fishing, hiking (GR36), canoeing, kayaking, horseback riding, rent a boat, or play golf or tennis. A visit to one of the many gorges and caves in the area should certainly not be missed. One example is Le Gouffre the Padirac. There are also fortresses worth visiting like the fortress of Castel Franc. The park is located in a region known for its wines: the wines of Cahors. The historic site of Anglars Juillac with its castle is certainly worth a visit and a little further away you will find the world famous caves of Lascaux. There are caves at Les Eyzies Tayac as well. In Dordogne there is always a lot to do, for example visiting the beautiful historical village of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, classified as one of the 'plus beaux villages de France' or you can go for a walk along one of the many hiking trails in the area. If you are thinking about cycling or canoeing / kayaking on the Lot River you can certainly do it here. The city of Cahors is 25 km away.
