DescriptionThis wonderful holiday park lies at an altitude of 1250 meters, at the entrance to the Ecrins National Park, in the Hautes-Alpes. It is just 200 meters from the village of Pelvoux. The park consists of two 3-story buildings (with elevator) plus a free spa, complimentary gym, laundry facility, general ski storage area, Finnish sauna (free), Internet Point and parking lot (fee). You can order fresh bread at the reception desk. Bed linen is included in the price. For an additional fee you can reserve a TV, baby set, bath towels and/or final cleaning. Pets will be allowed (for a fee) if they are in possession of a valid vaccination certificate and are kept on a leash. Near the park you will find a restaurant, a babysitting room, a shop with the basic necessities and two sports shops. 3 km away, in Vallouise, there are additional shops. The park lies directly by the ski lifts at the end of the slopes and enjoys relatively long hours of sunshine per year.

Local areaThe environment is quite varied and provides plenty of possibilities for an active holiday in addition to Alpine skiing. The slopes of Pelvoux-Vallouise begin at an altitude of 1250 meters and go all the way up to 2300 meters. For Alpine skiing, there are 14 runs totaling about 34 km. These consist of 2 green, 5 blue, 4 red and 3 black pistes. There are 8 lifts plus an illuminated ski run and a sled run. For the very experienced skier, there is a secure off-piste route. For cross-country skiers there are 30 km of cross-country trails which are ideal for the beginner plus an additional 20 km of trails which are reserved for walkers. If you would like to take a break from skiing, there are guided tours of the churches and chapels of the valley villages. Other activities include visits to a potter, special guided hikes on snowshoes and ice climbing. Several days a week, in the information center of the Ecrins National Park, various activities focusing on nature are offered for children aged 7 to 12. The nearest larger town l'Argentiere les Ecrins is located 10 km away. The distance from Utrecht is about 1140 km.
