Local areaThe Burgundy region is best known for its vineyards and castles, but it has much more to offer. For example, you can enjoy Lake Panneciere which has an area of up to 520 ha and is a true Eldorado for anglers. Other activities in this quiet wooded area include hiking, rafting, paintballing, quad biking, canoeing-kayaking, mountain biking and tree climbing. Evening entertainment can [only] be found at a disco, which is located 500 meters from the park and is only open on weekends. Culture can be found at the Basilica of Vezelay, the city of Autun, the European Archaeological Center of Bibracte in Mont Beuvray and in many towns and churches dating from the 10th to the 15th centuries. Bazoches Castle, dating from the 12th century, is free to visit daily. There are also caves which can be explored in the area. In short, here a sporting holiday can be easily combined with culture and plenty of peace and quiet!
