Les Boutilloux is a charming detached holiday cottage situated in Sarlande, North Dordogne.
The cottage, which is now used as a family holiday retreat, has been carefully restored, retaining its original features while incorporating modern comforts. The large vacation cottage overlooks a garden, neighbouring fields and a lake, and provides a relaxing environment with lots of charm and character. It is suitable for up to 4 persons.
This lovely green area borders the Natural Regional Park of Perigord-Limousin and is a favourite holiday destination for nature lovers.
This accommodation allows a Senior Discount (55+) of 10%.

Local area

The rolling hills, pastures and woodlands here are a delightful venue for walking, cycling or traffic-free driving in the countryside where you can explore charming villages with their typical barns made of stones quarried from limestone or crystalline bedrocks, as well as taste delicious regional specialties such as foie gras and tarts made with local apples.
For the more energetic ones, canoes and kayaks can be hired in Corgnac allowing access to the Isle River or you can take a rail cycle along the railway to Thiviers. Within 10 minutes (by car) you can reach the famous recreational lake of Rouffiac where you can enjoy activities like kayaking, surfing, sunbathing, paddling, skiing, canoeing, and walking - providing many days of entertainment for the entire family.
There are three golf courses within easy reach of the holiday cottage at Sarlande.
Worth visiting are also: Jumilhac le Grand Castle (15 minutes drive); the medieval town of St. Yrieix (20 minutes drive); Pompadour Castle (30 minutes drive); Perigueux - the principal town of the region (45 minutes drive); the city of Limoges (1 hours drive); the Cathedral of Saint-Etienne; the Aquarium du Limousin; the Grotte de Villars and Oradour-sur-Glane.
