Cap d'Agde, situated about 1200 kilometers [drive] from Dover, is one of the most popular resorts on the Mediterranean Sea. There is a beautiful marina with a promenade where you can stroll or enjoy a nice cafe. The center is lively and has nice restaurants, bars and discos. There is a wide sandy beach where you can take advantage of the opportunity to laze about or participate in one of the many water sports activities. In the city you can visit the museum or Ephebe or one of the various districts of the city such as Rochelongue, with its wonderful view of the fort of Brescou. The district of La Roquille has a large beach and a park, and Les Falaises is a special district with volcanic rocks. The picturesque towns of Agde and Pezenas, with their lively market squares and cafes, are also worth a visit. Sete is a cozy larger port located on the Mediterranean Sea. A little further away - about 55 kilometers from Cap d'Agde - there is the university city of Montpellier. The architecture and museums of this city are worth visiting.
