The Residence is situated 900 meters from the fine sandy beach and just a few minutes from the ancient Roman city. Local areaThis residence is ideally situated on or near a mountain bike / cycling circuit. Frejus is a medieval city as well as a popular seaside resort. First established by the Romans, Frejus attracts numerous tourists each year because of its history, cultural and artistic qualities, its sea with well-maintained beaches and array of sports facilities. Its close proximity to the beach and harbor, plus the treasures of the hinterland including plenty of wild nature, wonderful gastronomy, hiking trails and archeological discoveries, provides visitors with the possibility to enjoy their favorite hobbies, not to mention, lots of small charming Provencal villages. The most important sights in Frejus are Cocteau Chapel, designed by Jean Cocteau in 1961; Saint-Etienne cathedral; the lantern of Augustus, a remnant of the ancient Roman port; the amphitheater, one of the largest amphitheathers in Gaule (built during the 1st and 2nd centuries it could accommodate 12000 spectators); the arenas of Frejus, the oldest Roman remains in the region; and so much more! In the region you have the possibility to jet-ski, take a sailboat cruise, and go water-skiing, diving, biking, hiking etc. Be sure to visit the safari zoo, where you can see 250 species of animals including birds, cats, monkeys, elephants, kangaroos, antelopes, giraffes, llamas, ostriches and camels. Aqualand is open from June to September. There is also Aquagolf, a mini-golf course with 2x18 holes.
