DescriptionThis beautiful new [small] holiday park with swimming pool is situated between the French towns of Brive and Clermont-Ferrand, just 300 meters from the center of “Egletons where you will find many shops and restaurants. The park has an area of 2ha and is surrounded by nature. The wooden chalets have been constructed and decorated in such a way as to be in complete harmony with the natural surroundings. The park is so well organized that every house offers plenty of privacy so you can get adequate rest. Furthermore, each accommodation has its own private terrace. In the park you will find a beach with a pool house and heated outdoor pool (open weather permitting). There is also a laundry, breakfast and maid service, and in the summer, a tourist information desk that organizes trips and sporting excursions. The park has only limited traffic. You can park your car in a secure parking lot. Attractions and activities in the immediate surroundings include: Ventadour Castle and medieval museum; the fountains and town of Egletons; forest trails in Mirambel and Chateauneuf; Plateau des Milles Vaches; the Dordogne Valley and the Perigord-Limousin Nature Reserve. There is also the possibility for a variety of sports like karting, paintball, horseback riding, a fitness trail, water sports in the lake of Marcillac-la-Croisille, and ultralight flights.

Local areaThe Limousin is a very green region. Its undulating landscape alternates between pasture and forest. It is a predominantly agricultural region with numerous rural villages. This region is part of the Massif Central of France which also comprises the regions of Auvergne, Ayveron and Lozere. However, in contrast to the other parts of the Massif Central, the Limousin is an area where small roads and streams define the landscape. It is an area where you can enjoy the life of the French countryside, not to mention plenty of wonderful nature. There are many lakes here which are typical of the Limousin region. The Dordogne also has several nice places to visit. Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne is such a place. It has beautiful homes and occupies a fantastic location on the river. It is not for nothing that it is called one of the most beautiful villages of France, yet there are others such as; Mortemart; Segur-le-Chateau; St.Robert and Collonges-la-Rouge. The latter is a ‘must see.- It lies in the extreme south of the Limousin region, in the department of Correze. This village is a true gem and is affectionately known as the ‘Ruby of France-. It is almost entirely made from purple sandstone. In Langeroux there is a large heath bog area that is now a nature reserve. The Creuse has water of excellent quality and is also an area where you run the chance of finding otters in the wild. Brive-la-Gaillarde is a city with lots of nice shops. On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays (in the autumn) there is a market where you can buy delicious fresh truffles. The region is also ideal for a variety of sporting activities. Hiking, cycling, mountain biking, canoeing - everything is possible here. The valleys of the Dordogne and Vezere are waiting for you to explore.
