This chalet is located in a wooded area in the heart of the Dordogne. Here you will find beautiful nature as well as the peace and quiet you seek. The chalet is located next to the village of Salignac where you will find shops and restaurants. At the chalet there is a lovely swimming pool which you share with the owner (who lives on the same premises). On the terrace you can enjoy plenty of silence. In the immediate surroundings you can find beautiful little towns like Carlux, where you can visit the typical Dordogne markets.

Local area

This chalet is located in the heart of the Dordogne, near the village of Salignac. Nearby you will find the beautiful city of Sarlat. In the old neighborhood there are medieval streets and houses. Every Saturday, at the market of Place du Marche-aux-Obies, you can find typical products of the area. Wine lovers will enjoy the beautiful vineyards around Bergerac or with a bit of traveling visit Bordeaux and St. Emilion. In le Bugue, Montignac and Les Eyzies, you can admire caves with prehistoric drawings and murals. There are also good hiking and cycling routes here or you can swim or canoe in the rivers of the Dordogne or Vezere. Sarlat is located between the Dordogne and de Vezere, in a hilly landscape. The thousand-year-old original architecture of this magical medieval city can be seen in the old roofs and small walking bridges. Here warm golden-yellow sandstone dominates everything from the pavement to the roofs with their characteristic Perigord Noir roofing tiles.
