Local areaAmboise, a small town on the Loire River, is situated among the castles of the Loire. A good example is the castle of Amboise, which is very close to the holiday village. But there are many other attractions here including "La maison du Clos Luce", better known as the home of Leonardo da Vinci; the unique museum of the Association of the Tour de France in Tours (with souvenirs and a store); a park with the main castles of the Loire in miniature; and the Beauval Zoo in Saint Agnan which even has tigers and white lions. Sports opportunities include cycling, riding a bike or walking along the castles, riding a donkey among the vineyards, fishing in the Loire, canoeing and kayaking and even ultralight, balloon or helicopter flights. At the reception desk information on various bike routes, car excursions and tourist attractions are available. The local village has a fine cuisine and you are sure to enjoy the surroundings with its wine regions, nougat of Tours, mushroom farms, distilleries and plenty of goat cheese! In short, a good combination of culture, nature, cuisine and sports.
